    Kansas City is on the Kansas-Missouri border, so the city itself is in Missouri, but the metro area overlaps into Kansas. It was formed at the junction of the Kansas and Missouri rivers, before Kansas was a state and the "City" was added to avoid confusion.

    A fraction can be anything you want it to be. Improper fractions are those where the numerator (top) is larger than the denominator (bottom).

    So 6/5, 11/8 and 15/4 are all valid fractions - although they might also be written as 1 1/5, 1 3/8 and 3 3/4.

    You also don't need to take them down to the lowest common denominator (but often do) - so you could write 4/16, 2/8 or 1/4.
