Not that it wasn’t still breaking the law (and therefore he should still be fined) but by the sound of Corbyn’s situation, more people arrived after him and pushed the number past 6. It does make it really awkward, do you get up halfway through your dinner and walk out because someone new turned up? Stay and break the law but not look rude? I do wonder what others on here would have done, I think I’d have left but you’d have to be brave to tell your friends off and leave, maybe I’d have bowed to social pressure and stayed feeling guilty the whole time, who knows?

All abit irrelevant it's inexcusable it doesnt matter what me or you would have done but for someone like him in the spotlight school boy error should have left if this scenario did take place.

Wasnt it his dad or have I missed something? To be fair in the election run up when Corbyns brother was making the headlines for the wrong reasons most on here were giving it "but that's his brother not Jeremy" just putting abit of perspective on it. Hth

It is my view that sitting MPs who break the law should lose their seat immediately. But it seems as though saying sorry (and often not even doing that) suffices.

You cant lose a seat like that in a democracy. If the voters don't think breaking the law is right, then they vote them out.

Don't know if it's been mentioned but I've read about Corbyn's situation, one of his closest friends died recently and this friends girlfriend returned from Russia and they organised a dinner party to be with her and part way through other people turned up making the numbers more than allowed. Right or wrong? How long were there more people than allowed in the house? It's all about context, In the same situation would you have stood up and left thereby making a sombre and sad occasion even worse for the bereaved person.

Friends of ours stayed in Pickering last week and met family for a meal at a pub. They booked a table for 6 outside but 7 turned up so they were made to sit at 2 separate tables. My solution to their problem was 6 sit at one table and put the carry cot in the other .....yes the 7th person was 6 months old o_O

Put it in perspective mate. No one should pull you up and no one has. You are entitled to say what you like. The difference being. Jeremy apologised. Paid the fine didn’t hide the fact of what he’d done. Cummings blatantly lied. Never apologised to my recollection. Boris backed those lies.
ALL mps and, can everyone on here say they’ve followed the guidelines to the letter. It’s always been as best endeavours for me. I’ve not criticised any MP for being forgetful in a situation. Of any party.
The, but Corbyn is used because he was destroyed by not only those in the media. But by those back stabbing labour MP’s who criticised him for one reason only. Fear of him losing them. Their seats. Instead of attacking the media.
Corbyn was wrong and should have recognised the situation. And how it would appear. Has anyone said different. If you hadn’t said it I would. No one is so much criticising Boris’s dad but the fact Boris will try and wriggle his way out of offering an apology. Boris’s Dad has apologised. I’m more than satisfied. Him and Jeremy won’t be doing it again anytime soon.
Corbyn didn’t make the rules by the way. Those lying toe rags do.
One person on here is quite open that he voted Tory. And without looking recieves very little grief. Is honest and is open to debate. Most Tory bashers on here including myself. Appreciate, if not agree with his views.

It’s common knowledge. Tory backbenchers. have acknowledged what a disaster of incompetence their cabinet have proved to be. Why is it some voters . (not all ) are reluctant to do the same. Swallow a bit of pride for gods sake. Just makes you look as big an idiot as your leader.

Cummings should have been sacked no ifs or buts about that. And I'm no tory voter either I just made a few aware that mr corbyn had also broken lockdown rules, sorry if that's frowned upon and makes me a Tory boy or whatever...

Who’s accused you of being a Tory boy. ? And who’s said it’s frowned upon. ? You then used the term but Corbyn. I just tried to explain why someone like me use that phrase.

That may well be the case Helen, but in many occupations breaking the law is a breach of the terms and conditions of your employment.

We spread less germs that prevail without masks... Masks only work when used in a sterile practice. Buying one from Amazon, Ebay or Barnsley market because you like the design then wearing it every day, keeping it in your pocket... Now that is a danger!! If you do not wear a mask and adhere to social distancing it is safer than wearing a mask, previous studies have never found a proven case for them..

If you breath out germs etc, they die very quickly when exposed to the UV rays from our sun. If you then stick a tight mask on, all you are effectively doing is breathing all germs etc into this facial capture device.. These germs can then live far longer on a surface ie the inside of your mask than they ever would in the fresh air full of UV light...

Then think about how many times people remove their masks and touch other surfaces.

Previous studies where masks were shown to have no positive impact have now been forgotten with businesses making a huge profit on pieces of cotton with bits of elastic and the government loving the taxes received from purchases.. What a con.. I am complying so not to get fined. I'd challenge anyone to disprove the scenarios above and explain scientifically how masks are beneficial..

We have all become cattle following the herd...
