Pity they can’t feel same about us . The bile spewing out is unbelievable they hate us more than the chancers that put they’re club at risk . Pitch forks are out and lynching the innocent while they’re club is pulled from pillow to post by the administration team and previous owners https://forums.vitalfootball.co.uk/threads/barnsley-caught-cheating-last-season.108939/
Was just going to post the same - Facts dont seem to be a strong point for some of their more educationally challenged posters
The posters on there must be mainly kids judging by the utter nonsense and crap that comes out . Has he done a survey of half of our fans ? Lol. I don’t know anybody that wanted that or any other ground share tge intelligence on that forum must be minimal , just spouting bile and animosity without any evidence or foundation whatsoever .
I like the "Barnsley Will Go Down" thread where their greatest legal mind states with absolute confidence that the appeal will succeed, then throws a wobbler and tries to backtrack when they inevitably fail and it turns out he was bang wrong on everything. https://forums.vitalfootball.co.uk/threads/barnsley-will-go-down.106908/
I hate that forum. Not the posters, but the adverts. Awful site. I couldn't be using that place on a regular basis, it'd drive me mad.
We should go on a concerted twitter spree to say that Cook is going to be our next manager just to watch the fallout and bile they would spew!
I don’t think they’re in a position to talk about advantage or cheating, when they are the most extreme example of a hobby club that ever existed. Some of them even moaned because Whelan didn’t come forward and put any more money in when they went into administration. Apparently we’re just the same as them because we sometimes lose money, but the bit they can’t grasp is on the occasions we make a trading loss, it’s not down to paying 170% of turnover in wages, and we’re not reliant on selling a player for £10m to GO PARTLY TOWARDS balancing the books. majority of them can’t compare with life before money, because they didn’t attend pre Whelan, and if the new owners don’t go down the same route, they’ll soon lose interest.
Let's hope this has something to it: https://london-post.co.uk/wigan-ath...lton-athletic-director-looks-to-gain-control/
I think this is the same guy. Very bitter, even though at the time many Barnsley fans expressed their sympathy, and donated to their appeal. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Maybe they can appeal to bring him back... <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/wafc?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc^tfw">#wafc</a> ⚪ <a href="https://t.co/9elv12fSvm">https://t.co/9elv12fSvm</a> <a href="https://t.co/9hJ0s0Gdb8">pic.twitter.com/9hJ0s0Gdb8</a></p>— Harry Robinson (@RobboHarry) <a href="">October 6, 2020</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Someone tell them we were useless with Diaby and our form turned around after he was banned. If we replayed the games he played in we'd finish higher than we did.
Journo student who built up his own part as a link to the Administrator and being "in the know", and was adamant they would win their appeal. I think part of his bitterness is that he made a bit of a t1t of himself. Hope he gets better at journalism.
He's the one who had the ear of both the QC and the administrator: I don't want to get your hopes up, lads, but from what I'm told, this one's getting overturned. Wonder how all his secret-squirrel, insider knowledge worked out?
I like how they talked about all the information they supplied to the legal team, no doubt green ink nonsense that went straight in the bin. None of them seemed to grasp that the role of the Tribunal was to apply the regs as they stand, not rule on what is "fair". There was very little wriggle room and all the points they made were completely irrelevant.
That's a generous estimate. They used to get around 2,000 when they first came on the 4th Division scene. For years they were on a par with Macclesfield before Whelan bought his way to the top flight.
