Season ticket holders who pumped their hard earned money into the club during covid for the owners to repay their faith by being tight. Manager jumps cos of same reason... No experienced target man brought in... I actually liked Conway and believed his speel... Now I detest him.
detest is a strong word though mate during these tough times, but yeah they haven't given us much payback for our loyalty have they..... so far (I'll stay positive, my glass is still half full)
Will reserve judgement until the end of the window when we know if Mowatt and Woodrow are still here. If it's a case of only Brown, Ritz and Ludewig out. And Frieser, Helik, Brittain, Christie-Davies and two others in. That to me doesn't feel like they haven't invested in the squad. Whether that proves to be good enough under a new Head Coach remains to be seen.
Manager jumps because he has the offer of a dream job back in the Red Bull family - not sure the club can be blamed for that one To be honest I never expected the owners to stick loads of cash in but I am disappointed we have sold Brown and quite likely will sell Woodrow and so far no sign of suitable replacements
On the flip side it may be best to be cautious as we have no idea when fans will be able to return. If I have to sit the whole season out I will not buying another for the season after.
How many times will you critique the next post before clicking "post".....? Worse than stage fright! ;-) Happens to everyone, takes me ay least 10 minutes after I post something to then edit it to something more sentient!
We needed three players. We have since lost Ludewig and Diaby. If we don't get four in by Friday we are in trouble. Our bench is going to look so weak.
If we don't strengthen it will be a very long season. Combative striker is a must, assuming Mowatt doesn't leave, in which case we need someone with experience there. Styles has oodles of promise, but needs to be given a bit of time to properly develop.
We’ve needed a target man for over a year. I bought my season ticket knowing that it would keep my club afloat - whatever happens (unless Covid does for me) I’ll do the same next season- I’ve watched them for 62 years & won’t stop supporting them now
I would say it's a case of when not if. I will be amazed if Woodrow and Mowatt are here come Saturday. This board would sell the grass of given an offer for it. I think the departures of our better players and a cluster of head coaches have eroded any faith I had in the present board. The sale of Brad Potts in the the middle of a promotion attempt gave the first clue as to the ambition of the board. It's to make money and not having to spend a penny of their own to improve the squad . After following the club for 50+years ,I have got to the stage where I will not be renewing my season ticket again until this board show some as much commitment as the 8000 (including myself)who have this season.
Honestly just give up hope of us making any decent signings now. Will make it less of a disappointment when deadline day comes round.
