Murray hated it that we were peppering the goal from 35 yards last season during our slump and wanted us getting the ball to Woodrow more.
I've just posted without having seen your comment LK. Just seen what you've said. CW / AM - I've not mentioned it on here before because of all the rubbish that's flying around, but apparently that became most evident when DS left the club..
We should be so lucky!. God forbid that any of them would think of doing that when they have the perfect vehicle here to moan about pretty much everything that happens at the club.
If Carlsberg did deadline days, we'd be signing Messi and Ronaldo before 5 pm. Awww ****, we can't! The international deadline has passed.
Yeah. there'll be a release clause, it's a shoe iin for Adam Murray, the board still have no ambition, no players coming in...... Well I hope some of the nay-sayers, whingers, whiners, moaners, gripers and groaners just acknowledge they might be wrong, but I'm not holding my breath. I am looking forward to tomorrow's match now though!
I was hoping he’d stay but to get him to sign an extension? That is good work. Be nice to keep one of our best players for an extended period of time. Can’t wait to see James*, Mowatt and Kane supplying Cauley. Let’s get back in the goals!
Might just have a quid on Cauley to score tomorrow - you can just see the headlines 'Cauley scores to celebrate putting his name on a fresh deal at Oakwell'
Maybe he has, and maybe it's a big one. So if we are in this position again in the summer, we might get something decent for him after all. The club have been accused of accepting the first bid they get for every player. This time they've not only rejected all approaches, but got the player in question tied down to a longer deal. Its been a long time since we last did that. In fact, I can't remember the last time.
I just love this quote from Cauley: ".....but as soon as I heard that Barnsley were offering me a new contract it was something I was keen on doing." A cracking player and a top lad who is clearly signing up to the future with us.
At last, our Board is showing some intent on remaining in the Championship. For that we have to offer our collective thanks. For me, today's events underline one very important possible fact. The signing of Herbie Kane, the offer of a new and improved contract for Cauley and potentially the arrival of Matty James on loan, tells us, that the previous prudence shown by our Board ( and I have been guilty of criticising them), was the right way to go and we are not one of the five to eight Championship Clubs that it is rumoured face real financial difficulties if some form of fiscal assistance is not forthcoming.
