I have this feeling that Cauley gets on well with Murray, maybe better than he did with Struber, who didn't really get the best from him in the way in which he was asked to play. I hope that he is on fire and up top against Brizzle on Saturday. Best news of the day, along with Kane coming.
Wonder if he would have signed with Struber still here? He certainly didn't play his best football under him. Great news, we all want to see him banging those goals in again.
You can give players a pay rise by changing their contract. I suspect this is what has happened. It's a Win-Win for everyone involved. I haven't read the thread, hopefully people are happy.
Really hope he can return to form under the new manager. I like Cauley a lot but he didn't fit in with Struber's system. I'm not going to criticise Struber, even though I'm not keen, because he kept us up last season and I know if we'd played how I would have liked us to play, we would have been relegated. I hope we can find a way to keep the opposition from scoring and not sacrifice our attacking threat. Cauley can't defend from the front all that well but he can score goals.
I’ve done the same on tykes talk, I’ve mentioned that I wasn’t happy cos Woodrow photo should have been in red shirt and same old Barnsley they don’t want to go up...I got called an idiot, whoosh!
In all fairness, the reported bids of £1.5m and £2m were scandalously low and any should have been the easiest rejections possible. I suspect there is an uplift in salary to get the extra year with a release clause. Common practice in Spain, just has to be set at the right level. But very good news and just hope we now play our best player to his strengths.
An unexpected surprise always feels good. Really pleased with this I'm sure he'll start scoring into the teens again this season.
I find it more funny that someone actually thought that I thought the club didn’t want to go up because of the yellow shirt
