Agree totally Helen. Like when John Hendrie went from "the joker in the pack" one day to manager the next. Wasn't going to work, as the "joker" is now telling the players what to do.
That was a shame John didn't work out, great player great bloke. Like you say he should never have got the job.
Agree, great player for us and a lovely person. Met him a couple of times and a very funny guy, just never had the personality to be a manager/coach unfortunately
Not sure if I want another high press foreign coach. I'm definitely edging towards Moore but Murray may do well and we might not being another year long stepping stone for some new young super coach.
I would possibly interpret Cauley's words in line with the legal maxim: expressio unius est exclusio alterius The inclusion of one thing is the exclusion of another, praising Murray is diplomatically damning Struber and hence a contract extension a week after he left.
Reading the article, I think it's fair to say that most of the team are 100% behind him and perceive him to be a decent bloke, which appears to concur with what the owners of Mansfield Town had to say about him when he managed the Stags. https://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/spo...ley-fc-players-are-behind-adam-murray-3007757
