Its wrong on so many levels, minds't you some people have gravy on fish. The mind boggles. By the way TT its never been Yorkshire to only have meat n tatty pie with peas, but being awkward is definitely Yorkshire.

My son- in-law argues that I cook F& C in beef dripping which is meat based and so is gravy. He puts gravy on his .He has corrupted my 3 year old granddaughter and sent me a video of her dunking chips in the gravy covering his Fish Argghhh. Time for a call to social services I think

I remember pie and pea man coming round in the late 90s as well as fletchers van that you could walk into the back of and had a display of bakery items behind a counter and also a sweet van which sold (obviously) sweets.

Personally I love pork pies but only ever tried one hot once and found it disgusting (I don't usually eat the jelly anyway).

The best pork pie I've had in years was from a butchers shop in Ironbridge in June this year, fantastic.

Also mushy peas with mint sauce is an abomination. Mushy peas are fantastic, I just don't understand why you'd want to ruin them.

At last someone Yorkshire born (I assume you are) who doesn't like pork pies - I think they're totally revolting whether with or without peas/mint sauce - all that fat yuk!
