I really don't know anything about him at all. The only judgement I can make is that we've played much better this season under him than we did under Struber. That doesn't mean he should get the job, and I'm not saying he should, but it's certainly no reason to rule him out of getting the job.
Totally agree. And if this is Woodrow and Mowatt refusing to play for him, then I can't wait to see how good they'll both look if we appoint someone else
I dont think Mowatt especially would refuse to play for any manager, hes too professional for that and he's the captain to boot.
We are certainly getting more bodies forward now. He just can’t seem to buy a win. We’ve played well under him in this spell and the last spell but can’t seem to get the 3 points.
I thought Mowatt was a sack of festering turd tonight. I know I love him and he's captain but he was ****.
I think that's looking for negatives rather than being fair. We have just played two of the top sides
He's had the advantage of being able to play some decent new players, and not being able to play Ritzmaier.
The closer to the end of the game we got the deeper he dropped. I wasn't impressed he didn't take the free-kick near the end. I thought he should have taken an inswinger toward goal. I don't want to fallout. I just think he was safe tonight. That Stoke team were *****.
I am confused as to who the two key players of our squad are that we were led to believe would never play for us under Murray.
Which new players played against Bristol? Kane off the bench I think. Wasn't it only Brittain who played tonight as well? And probably because Soll was poleaxed on Saturday. Again with Kane off the bench.
I think he's only selected one of the new signings to start in one of the games he's been in charge. Don't think we've improved because we've had new signings on the bench.
We are better since he's come in, you're not wrong, but we were awful before and we're still not winning. And, I think there's a portion of the fan base that will turn vocally against him very quickly if he/we don't succeed in an obvious fashion very quickly. That's why I think it'd be a risky appointment. I might be wrong, it could be lessened by the fact there's no fans in the grounds, and he might have a strong rapport with the squad, I just think someone new is the best way to go.
I said "able" to play. Kane was able against Bristol. There were 2 players used tonight that weren't previously available. Plus another available on the bench. Not sure if the goalie counts too. Without the Ritz handicap also. I'm not knocking Murray at all btw. As usual we played well at the start and gradually became less effective. And we did score in added time. Except that it was at the end of the first half tonight
I’d be more comfortable giving him a run till end of season than some unknown foreigner who knows nothing of players / championship
Stoke missed a few sitters tonight, including when down to 10 men. The defence looked all over the place at times.
