After the first 15 minutes we took over. Adomah looked like a world beater and I am surprised he was subbed. But being negative, that should have been 10 to us, the new manager will be thrilled but he ought to give them some shooting practice. For the first time this season we linked the midfield and the forwards ... and it showed !
QPR overran us first 15 minutes. The sending off gave us a huge advantage that we took advantage of for once
I think the sending off changed the game. I do think they'll be strugglers this season, but they certainly have a few good players. I wouldn't judge them too much on today's performance. It was similar to how we collapsed after a red card (well, 2) against Reading.
They started very well and I thought we were a bit lucky not to go behind. Not with chances as such, just more with us struggling to get a hold of the game. After the first 20 minutes though we were very much on top. I imagine QPR will finish somewhere between 14th and 19th.
To the contrary ! I'm absolutely chuffed, and delighted to see our midfield tick at last. James brings a breath of fresh air to proceedings. But the way we dominated the last period was a joy, just disappointed we didn't get more goals, as I am sure the rest of us are.
They did over run us in the first 15 minutes but I can't recall them doing anything with it and the defence should take credit for that. We looked resilient at the back which augurs well for the future. Dykes looks a handful - strong and a willing runner - but neither he or Bonne impressed me and they supposedly cost a couple of million a piece.
Fair do's. I just find it strange that some posters seem to be looking for ways to dampen what was, after a dodgy opening 10 minutes or so, a very good performance. Yes the penalty and sending off helped but IMO we had already started to settle and were getting on top. Agree about Matty James. Hopefully his stay is at least till the end of the season and not just 3 months
No you haven't and no they weren't, we destroyed them, it was our good play, not their lack of ability.
