The question that sometimes get asked ( to be honest you've probably never been asked but for the purpose of this post you have :) 'If you needed someone to take a penalty to save your life who would it be?' ' - step aside Matt Le Tissier - Cauley's the man!

Woodrow's penalties are unstoppable- technique he demonstrates is fantastic. Can't remember us having many better.

'If you needed someone to take a penalty to save your life who would it be?' Paul Hayes, but you'd have to deal with the heart attack you've incurred during his 'run up'

I don't like to talk about how good someone is at taking penalties because in my view you are setting them up for a fall.

Paul Hayes had balls of granite when it came to pens. Was bloody brilliant.

Would be Alan Shearer for me, in that scenario, appreciate Tiss scored 25/26 but Shearer scored 56 + International ones.

I think anyone that plays professional football should be bale to hit the target with just the goalkeeper to beat from 12 yards. I don't think it is a great skill. If you hit it in the right place the goalkeeper should have no chance.

Similar styles - power and accuracy. Think Le Tiss was something like 47 out of 48 which isn't bad

It isn't but plenty do miss as we England fans know all too well. Can't imagine what pressure must be like taking a pen in a world cup semi final

I think it's a rubbish way to finish a game mate. The rest of the team suffer because one guy chokes and misses the target.

Woodrow's penalties are even more impressive given how few opportunities he has had to practice them in match situations until this season given how few we were awarded in past few years:)

Just this you knew he was going to score but even so
Woodrows penalties are pretty decent though - keeper hasn't had a chance with any of the three he has taken this season

Suppose they have to finish them someway - sudden death didn't hang around for long. Did enjoy that though as it seemed to increase the tension - remember the one in Euro 96 where Gazza was a stud's length away from ending the game

I've liked his penalties. The best way to take them. Powerful into the roof of the net.

Always remember Batty getting slaughtered for his miss. It came out later Hoddle was asked why Batty was even taking one and he admitted no one else wanted to take it when he asked for a last taker, so DB volunteered.
