Read that in Batty's book - took some nerve to step up

Yeah, if I recall right Ince (may not have been him)was there looking away,
Whoever it was liked to portray himself as a big man, can remember thinking not so then.

Brian Howard and Paul Hayes. Neither of them missed a penalty for Barnsley.

Now you have posted this, I hope we are in a comfortable lead the next time we get a penalty...

Didn't Ince miss the other penalty?

No wonder he was looking the other way.

Anyone noticed that Woodrow's last 3 penalties have been in more or less the same place? Ok Middlesbrough one was a bit lower, but same otherwise. Keepers might get wise to this.

They'd have to have long arms.

Currently in the PL and for England you would have to say Harry Kane.

Woodrow's have been very good but consistently in the same place. The one last night wasn't actually as high as the one last week against Bristol city. We would have to keep the debate for whether "you'd have Woodrow on a life or death penalty" until he's taken a load more. Let's hope we get to find out lol. Sorry for being a party pooper.

I liked the Neil Thompson approach to penalties. Hit it so hard that the keeper would have died if they got in the way.

Alan Shearer. Side netting with power every time ... practically unstoppable.

Whilst I’d like to mention Neil Redfearn as an answer to the OP, can I add a question?

When was the last time we started a season getting so many penalties?

We have all noted that we historically (at least in recent years) seem to get very few. What has changed?

You've all missed one of the greatest players to put on a Barnsley shirt for penalities . Allan Clarke

Well the logical (not emotional) response to why we got so few penalties because we didn’t play into the box enough.
My memory tells me almost all Cauley goals are clean strikes from the edge of the box.

So if we’ve changed tactically up front, there’s a chance we’ll get more penalties.

Like the Ian Banks approach to free kicks. I can still hear the opposition's knees knocking even now :) Cover the crown jewels guys :)
