This is exactly why the squad needed a proper back up to woodrow.

Schmidt will do a grand job I reckon if given a chance. Was guilty of missing chances last game (as several others were) but he always seems to find space and his conversion rate prior to Tuesday was impressive.

We need that Moore replacement first. Then we can work on the Woodrow back up.

    Baby steps

Think we will all be disappointed come Sat evening tbh and lamenting the clubs failure to actually sign a half decent striker.

I don't expect us to beat Watford to be honest. Be happy with a draw. And if we do lose it may not be due to failing to sign another striker.

I'd more than likely go for simoes over Schmidt, then it's a question of Chaplin or frieser moving into the middle.

Simoes is to lightweight especially to play in a front three at this moment in time. Schmidt can play in the centre leaving Chaplin and Frieser undisturbed

My only thinking is that simoes offers something more in terms of creativity aswel as a goalscoring threat, so could potentially be utilised in frieser or Chaplin's position. Whoever takes up the position its got to be the most lightweight front 3 wev seen in a longtime.

There is always Victor. He is a bit more solid. Just unfortunately not championship class

I’d go with Schmidt. But Simoes or even Halme are options

Still waiting for that replacement for Hignett, or is it Aylott? Can't remember now it's such a long time ago :);)

Really hope im proved wrong but chaplin been our focal point down the middle doesn't fill me with confidence. No way is he capable of the sane link up play as Woodrow. Any of our options will get bullied.

I think Miller is a figment of our collective imagination. I have yet to see any firm evidence he actually exists. He's football's Keyser Söze.

Want he on the bench against QPR? - sure his name was there though I cant say whether there was actually a footballer to match that name sitting there

Yes he was, I think he's been on the bench 2 or 3 times this season
