    I was interviewed by Sky Sports coming out of Oakwell after we beat Chelsea in the quarter final of the cup , for years after I tried claiming that I was a Sky Sports pundit, but alas my claim has been dismissed , however , I still talk tripe ,so I might get a job offer yet !

    Right team. Can’t remember if it was this year or year before that we had the green red and black pelada away kit and finished 6th but didn’t get in the play offs for some reason. Anyway groundwork before the magic of 96/7

    Yeah that’s right. Was it just one automatic and one play off place 94:95 hence why 6th didn’t get us in play offs? Very Barnsley if so. Great days, excellent team. Bullock for example would walk into our current team.

    I'm confused, you took out a court order to stop someone playing a gig that you wanted to see and had tickets to? That seems a trifle self defeating if you don't mind me saying so.

    Packed in a secure job as a solicitor's articled clerk to read an economics degree. In Feb 1988 me and a mate had decided one night to join the French foreign legion. If I hadn't have lost my passport to get into France, I still think we'd have probably done it.
    When my new boss walked into a crowded office and said to me, "can you help me out? " And I couldn't resist channeling the Marx bros by replying: "certainly, which way did you come in." Got a massive laugh but stunted my career. :D:D

    I went on a blind date once that my mate had organised...I was paired up with the ex wife of The Human League's Phil Oakey.

    She made it no secret that she thought I was a T*at....very perceptive.

    When I was a young un, I wrote to the kids TV Show (at the time) Number 73 and got invited on for my birthday. It was the same episode that also invited Iggy Pop on.

    The show wasn't pre-taped and went out live every Saturday.

    Iggy and his entourage arrived looking hungover as fook and disappeared into their dressing room before emerging looking very much, er, perked up.

    Later in the live broadcast Iggy pop got a bit carried away with a giant teddy bear and, well, starting shagging it from behind live on kids TV whilst performing his set.

    I believe that to this day, for over 30 years, it remains the most complained about kids TV episode. I saw it again recently on one of those clip shows.
