Don't forget your hat. Ronnie Moore may be able to advise you on the most appropriate style for the occasion.

*I have literally no idea what this thread is about. I approve hugely, but I don't get it. Obviously, I'm missing something which makes it relevant, as usual, but I've no idea what that is. If it's just Monty Python style idiosyncrasy, all power to you, I think that's brilliant, but I'm guessing I've either missed a cue or I'm just thick.

    Cheers mate. :)

I read a thread the other day where you got a right kicking. You'd made a judgement on one piece of evidence and didn't know the history of the guy in question. Head of the FA or something. Just to let you know, I did exactly the same. I didn't know anything about the guy, I just judged the situation on that one thing. And I agreed with your interpretation to the letter. You were then bombarded with his previous indiscretions. Like you, I knew nothing about them. I think we both agree that had we known that, we would have taken that into account. But we didn't. We just judged it on that one piece of evidence. Just wanted to let you know that you shouldn't feel bad, I felt exactly the same as you. And, like you, took on board what other people said who had much more knowledge than we did. But don't feel bad for judging it on face value, on that, I thought you were bang on. If you're going down, I'm going with you. :)

I’ve been pitching my occasional series of wänks with Banks for years now, where Ian banks takes the viewer on a scenic tour of his favourite places to crack one out

The BBC won’t run it but there’s always hope of channel 5 picking it up.
