I know we all take the mick out of each other but they seem genuinely sad and embarrassed by their team and club's efforts. We've suffered ourselves, and if you took away the "label" at the top of every forum which says the club name they would all sound the same. I haven't seen any massive club mentality as I think most of them are aware that they've been mishandled and are having to suffer the consequences. We can laugh at their demise but until lockdown ended we were going nowhere but down. Anyway, enough of this ******, it's great being ten points better off than them. Haha.
I do think they've realised that Chansiri's plan of blowing their budget in an 18 month period chasing promotion, has massively backfired (as the wider football world predicted). And he's getting bored of it all, and will probably sell up soon. It could leave them in the *****. I'm willing to overlook their gloating when Chansiri took over. But I honestly think that them sailing close to the wind is the best thing for them. They've offloaded a lot of overpriced journeymen and replaced them with younger, potentially more saleable assets, who can help them out of the mess off the pitch. They need to avoid relegation this season for it to work though. I did say when Chansiri started throwing the money around, if they didn't go up in the first season, we were more likely to get back to the Premier League than they were. And I still stand by that.
They've been in massive debt for years. Not sure how they've avoided going bust in all honesty. If Chansiri pulls the plug there is a big possibility they could fold.
What would be nice is if both Rotherham and ourselves stayed up and they got relegated..... I'd be well pleased ...the amount of stick theyve given both us and Rotherham over the years more so Rotherham ...the icing on the cake would be Donny coming up as they go down......we can but dream
I get the banter, rivalry and the sheer joy of watching them struggle, but, why anyone wants another club to go bust is beyond me, Chansiri is a cap end no doubt, but the genuine dyed in the wool Wednesday supporter is pretty much the same as us and deserve a professional football team. My meds are wearing off.
Lets not forget the points deduction they've had, without that they'd be at the dizzying heights of 20th place. Their fans were talking about the play offs on football heaven the other night
Who would’ve thought that signing a load of players in their mid to late 20’s on huge contracts with no re-sale value would put them in a terrible position if they didn’t get promoted within a couple of seasons? No sympathy for them at all. Remember them taking Winnall off us as there 5th or 6th choice striker on 18k a week & taking the piss out of us over it. Hope they get relegated & end up like Bolton
Can't stand their fans, they are very different to every other set of supporters I've come across. Love them to fold.
Not only do I want them to go bust, but if they did, I'd laugh. And when I had finished laughing, I'd laugh some more. The Wednesday b&stards.
Not even bothered. You reap what you sow, and if anyone was to be made an example of then that absolute shower from S6 is the ideal candidate. 10 years they've been surviving by pure luck, never learning lessons. Admin is too good for them.
Over the 51 years of my life they have spent 70% of it in the lower divisions: decidedly average for a team which rivals Barcelona in terms of massiveness.
