Compensation is next to nothing nowadays. He’s highly rated though. Played for England at a couple of ages groups.
Was a Chessy fan radio Dee Dar giving the mangager a lot of stick for making a couple of late/daft subs which he clearly blamed for the injury time turnaround .
That’s a shame. Hassell really rates him & thinks he can go all the way. Hope there’s lots of clauses in the deal
I can't see anything on the Man United website but they have signed him (clue in the photo). Our academy player of the year and represented England, but we probably got nothing for him. https://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/news/2020/july/wooster-apots/ https://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/news/2019/august/wooster-interview/
That’s terrible news for us. Unless we have agreed compensation for him on reaching certain goals (professional contract, first team etc) we get nothing much for someone we have developed. I know it’s not unique but it’s still tough to take.
It’s why EPPP or whatever it’s called is a disgrace. Project Big Picture wanted to make it even harder for lower league clubs. In future I can just see big clubs having academies and the smaller clubs picking up the scraps, which is pretty much what Brentford do with the Chelsea, Spurs etc cast offs at the minute.
Sunderland have a cat 1 academy and their fans are up in arms because they say the club is touting them for sale to Prem clubs.
