The announcement was made today to restart grassroots sport from 2nd December and my kids were delighted, so that’s nice.
Reminded how lucky we are with our neighbours, whilst we're isolating. No shortage of offers for running errands, shopping etc. Started giving our lawns their final cut at lunchtime when the drive belt shredded. Gary next door must have heard my French, he turned up with his mower 5 mins later, managed to get the job done. I've returned it fully cleaned down, wiped with anti-viral wipes. Which was nice.
Certainly seems that way at the moment. The biggest relief is that we are now in a detached house, my kids are very noisy and it's nice not to have guilt about it and let them be themselves.
Today, in my self-isolation, I vacuumed the living room, kitchen, stairs/Landing, main bedroom and bathroom. Cleared the leaves off the front drive and fed the Guinea Pigs. Too much like hard work for me, rather be back in the office
Unfortunately I have found today really tough for a variety of reasons. The nicest thing I did today was not call my boss a prize c0ck.
Was it actually a 'Nice' biscuit with the bits of sugar on? Not had one of them in ages. Or was it a just a nice biscuit? Remember Sports biscuits? I use to try and chew the players heads off.
I renewed the house insurance with Admiral and got it for £20 less than I paid last year. On You Tube I then listened to Mitsuko Uchida play Mozart Piano Concerto 4- brilliant - (I'm showing off here - but assume that as it's a 'nice thread' no one will mind!)
I went into Huddersfield town centre today for the first time ever. ( some documents to sign). Worthy of a mention. Or not.
I went in marks and Spencers tonight (I know aren't I posh) it was extremely quiet and the man on the checkout was really friendly which was nice.
