    My thought process is in January if James returns to leicester or gets sold and Mowatt doesnt sign a new deal then this is our middle 4 for the second half of the season. Give them a run while things are going well.
    Vic is on form and is earning his chance.

    Love having James and Mowatt in the side as they are quality but love Barnsley more, commit to start.

    I'd expect the same starting line up as on Saturday. However, given the start he's had to his Barnsley career, I certainly wouldn't complain if Valerien decides to freshen things up.

    This exactly.
    Also no-one can second guess the substitutes and when and who they come on for.
    Both the starting eleven and subs should understand it’s a squad game and no-one is more important than the team as a whole.
    I’m sure no-one in the squad will argue with VI - at least not to his face!
    He may see that someone is “running on empty” and need a rest.

    They all wear the tracking bra things in every game and training session.

    They’ll have running distance figures and the sports science will show who is in the red zone in danger of muscle injury. As we have options this may dictate team selection - at times when we’ve had little option it would have been more likely the players would have been picked regardless.

    If they are all available for selection in that regard I’d go with what we started with on Saturday, but if J Williams, Kane, Palmer or big Vic are selected to start you couldn’t argue.

    Same for me. Only doubt is whether James can start two games so close but seen as he came off after around 60 mins on Saturday I’d presume he’ll be fine
