Tough game, and a good measure of where we're at. We're usually good against the top sides, and Brentford will be up there at the end of the season. This century, we've had 2 wins, 3 draws and 2 defeats at home to Brentford. Most recently a 3-1 defeat under Daniel Stendel's tenure. Brentford have lost just twice in their last 14 in all competitions, winning and drawing 6. So they're difficult to beat. They were matched away at Wycombe on Saturday. Play the way we did on Saturday, and I think it'll be an open game. Hoping we can nick it. I'm going for 2-1 Barnsley, with Woodrow and Chaplin on target.
Law of averages now suggests we can't keep playing like we have done recently at home and are due to concede at some point. So 1-1
I don't think Wycombe are a good team to gauge results on because they've just been promoted. Naturally they will raise their game.
Looking forward to this one. As you say, it'll be a good measure against a top team. 2-1 us. Pinnock to score one for them and two own goals.
Funnily enough I thought the same last season in the first half hour when they had Benrahma and Watkins. They then slam dunked us 1-3
Let's be fair though, Toney is a different proposition to the one he was on loan for us, 4 years ago.
