Thought I'd post this on here in case anyone is out walking tomorrow. The owners are appealing for people to help in the search. MISSING - TEDDY - SIGHTINGS NEEDED!!!!! UPDATE - SEEN AROUND 11:50AM RUNNING INTO THE WOODS ACROSS FROM THE FARM HOUSE ON BLACK LANE, TANKERSLEY IF YOU SEE TEDDY PLEASE TAKE A PHOTO AND SEND IT TO US - WE HAVE HAD THAT MANY SIGHTINGS THAT THIS IS NOW NECESSARY TO CONFIRM THE SIGHTING - PLEASE SPEAK TO HIM IN A PLAYFUL MANNER AND DO NOT SHOUT HIS NAME TOO LOUD - IF YOU SEE HIM GET AS CLOSE TO THE FLOOR AS POSSIBLE AND SEE IF HE APPROACHES YOU Hi all, Teddy is still missing and has been since 15:30 Sunday 22nd Nov 2020. There have been recent sightings last night in the Tankersley Golf Club area and the woods alongside the M1 near this area and towards Chapeltown. A lady thinks she may have heard his cries behind Hilltop Nursing Home in Chapeltown in the woods, near The Norfolk Arms pub. Please help the search but do not approach him as he will be very scared after his lonely night out in the woods. Please call Teddy's name playfully and do not shout it as this could cause him to hide again. If you see him please call me on 07400680180, Katrina Latham on 07581182938 or Martin Kelly on 07860 496651 If he approaches you please drop to the floor as low as you can and do not make eye contact. Look at him in your peripheral vision and see if he approaches further. Please share, we just want our little lad home. Everyone is very worried and scared for him. He is wearing his blue collar with small white polka dots, a gold bone shaped name badge with his name and a correct phone number on it and a red harness as in the photos attached.
Update - the dig has been seen in the Southbound side of M1 near Tankersley Golf course / Elsecar, curled up on the grass verge. Traffic has been slowed / halted as family try to collect. Fingers crossed for a good outcome.
Last seen heading past Cross Keys Hoyland Common towards Allots Corner. Then up near Police station. Come on BBS - help find him!!
My heart goes out to to the owners and the little doggy himself. I can't help in any way but I can hope and pray for his safe return.
Not found yet. The dog has been seen in Hoyland at several locations. Dog is frightened, and keeps bolting. There is a dog tracker involved I believe and they are working on the assumption that the dog may try to get back to the scent of where it was when it was last with the owner (Tankersley Golf Course area) . As far as I know last confirmed sighting was earlier this afternoon, on Upper Hoyland Rd. People are being asked not to try and catch or approach the dog, but to report its whereabouts so the owners can get there.
