Or he’s cheating. And given he was looking right at it unobstructed we can rule out him not seeing it.
I'm not so sure. I'd like to see how far away from his body the arm was, or whether it moved towards the ball. It looks more dramatic cos of the way his arm moves after the ball hits it. Anyway, we weren't hard done by cos they were far better than us.
Problem is you speak up about refs you get a fine, complain about refs you get a fine. Even if it's proven right that the referee was actually **** then the FA will still stand by their side. The FA is corrupt from top to ******* bottom and the only chance of sorting that is covid. If that doesn't sort it you will get bent refs every single week unless you are 1 of the top 4 in the Premier league. Look at man utds penalty the other day. Referees are cheating lovely people end of
Poor tonight and on the balance of play deserved nothing as Brentford were far superior in that second half but it still doesn't make that decision right. It's so blatant and the ref seemed to be in a great position. I just can't see what excuse be can come out with for not giving a penalty.
He was looking straight at it. How you can reconcile a decision like that, when compared to the penalties being given using VAR in the Premier League every week, is beyond me. I'm know he's not a cheat, but Specsavers might be a sensible option.
I wouldn't excuse a bad decision by virtue of who deserved to win. I just need to see a definitive angle, then I might be convinced. To call the ref a cheat though is puerile.
I don’t think I can recall a more blatant penalty not be given at oakwell? Situations like that where it is clear as day and no logical explanation as to why it was missed, all 3 of the officials should have to explain what they saw. He was equally as bad for both sides mind, but that decision or lack of should be explained!
Unfortunately referees are afforded far too much protection. As you point out it's pointless kicking up a fuss because nothing will get done. IMO they should be held more accountable for their decisions. There's making an honest mistake which fans can understand and accept and then there's just plain cheating and tonight's non decision falls into the latter category.
While I genuinely cannot begin to explain how Mr Bond failed to give the penalty, I also cannot understand what he would have to gain by cheating - i.e. seeing that it was a penalty, and deliberately not giving it. Any very pressing reason for doing this would mean that Mr Bond either 1) has a serious and irrational dislike of Barnsley Football Club; 2) is a closet Brentford fan; 3) is involved in some highly illegal activities connected with Asian gangsters who are missing fingers; 4) was filmed in a brothel by Thomas Franke's mate, who then handed the tapes over to Thomas Franke, who is now blackmailing Mr Bond. As I don't think that any of these scenarios are particularly likely, I'm going to revert to my original and simplest theory - that he's just quite **** at his job.
Or £800 on away win on his mates sky bet account.. A lot more match fixing going on than peioke know about
Do you have any evidence for that? I know refs don't earn a huge amount, but the risks of match fixing are huge - like possible jail time huge - for relatively small profits, bearing in mind how much scrutiny any really serious bet would be under. Plus the fact that if Barnsley are on fire and Brentford have a shocker, no amount of dodgy decisions will get him his away win.
There will never be any evidence cos there will never be an investigation. The FA won't even take 1 look at that decision they couldn't give a **** about anything below the Premier league. As long as they are raking it in from them clubs the rest of the pyramid is completely irrelevant to them
Good job I'm not an owner of this club or anything I'd be street on that blower to the efl. Probably why I stopped football at like age 14. Was a hot head with cheats and diving buggers lol
