Yes it was great. I love to watch how he seems to create detail out of what looks like a mess. Just a touch of white or brown and it comes alive. So clever.
Bob Ross helped me get my swag on with oils. Takes a bit of practice, but once you get the hang of it, your brushes do the work for thi.
I've done a couple. They turned out decent but took a bit longer than half an hour and I ended up with paint everywhere so I'm banned from doing any more

Just wanted to say a quick thanks to everyone who recommended this programme. My wife and I watched Bob Ross in action tonight and thoroughly enjoyed it. 30 minutes of near silence, punctuated by my wife occasionally uttering "He's spoilt it now" only to be proved wrong. Having the benefit of insider knowledge, I kept my mouth shut. Obviously Bob has been at it for a long time, to make it look so effortless, but it did make me wonder how many things we might have become reasonably adept at, if only we'd given them a go and put some time and effort into them. Anyway, thanks again. Looking forward to the next one now.
Bob Ross was a Sergeant in the Air Force and after he retired vowed to never shout again - which is when he started working towards his TV show.
