This mass testing of folk. Can someone explain to me how it works? So either there’s no such thing as asymptomatic transmission - in which case, it’s a biblical waste of time and money - or there IS such a thing, in which case it’s a super spreader event having hundreds of potential transmitters all queueing up together.
I very mu I very much doubt it .......remember the 4000 deaths per day estimates and the graphs with no source to their research, which they have refused to share with scientists and journalists alike?
I've wondered about that myself. The one mass gathering in Liverpool recently has been for Covid testing. The mass testing should be happening in workplaces, schools, unis etc... Places where people will be anyway, and accompanied by better access to money if you have to self isolate. That will have more impact than shutting restaurants.
Got to keep the case numbers up somehow so set your PCR cycle at 45 and pick up anyone with snot in their nose. That way we can carry on with the control. Why the **** folk aren't poll tax style rioting is beyond me. Stockholm syndrome seems to be prevalent. Rishi can't keep paying us 80% forever. When the day of economic reckoning comes then it might hit home.
Not being used, think someone suggested theres no staff to man them. I saw a quote that 70% of hospitals and performing at normal capacity upto last week.
It also means that by that logic there are 1400 hospitals at normal capacity so why is no one in Tier 1 - even the areas with lowish rates that are still falling some of which are still at tier 3 No one (or not many) are questioning where the virus is fake - of course its real. Doesnt mean we cant question the stupid approach to handling it though
I agree the way it’s been handles has been nothing short of criminal. At the very least regions should have been split up into smaller areas so that for example Sheffield being bad doesn’t impact Barnsley.
Not really, I was making the point that people must think lobbying works. Like he thought London might be a 3 but with a bit shout, he could get it down to a 2. Science? Who needs it!
There are around 1300 hospitals in the United Kingdom. 70% relates to around the 900 mark. So to suggest there are almost 600 hospitals that are over capacity is stretching it some what. . .
To be honest I had no idea how many hospitals there are, I quickly googled it and saw that there was an estimated 1,910 in 2018 so based it off that. My point remains the same that the 70% figure means nothing when its well known the capacity issues are heavily localised.
Its certainly not science based, but it is hugely political. Its been a mess from day 1 and i see no signs of it being any less of a mess, even when covid presents much less risk to us.
Just that Just that! the virus is very real but my goodness...the numbers have being falling and misrepresented information (hancock). They have been schooled so far in... ani bodies and "t" cells and how inaccurate PCR tests were at mass testing and how people were dying of other respiratory diseases but counted as COVID (dont do it now). We have to keep questioning their interpretation in how they collate evidence and then make decisions.
