Hopefully he knuckles down and impresses the boss then. Certainly more talented than some in the first team, I really hope we don't lose another player due to their supposed 'attitude'.
He clearly has some talent, but there have been one or two performances from him that have been sloppy beyond belief. Looks like he's dropped below Adeboyejo, Thomas, Miller and possibly even Bramall in the pecking order. Both him and Schmidt had a great chance to make a good first impression on VI in the QPR game, but they wasted chance after chance. Then both put in abject performances against Cardiff.
Dane was raving about Simoes in the off-season. Thought him and Styles were our two best players. Don’t think they’ll give up on him like that. Hope he comes good again. Time in the U23s might do him good
I suppose its up to him. VI has every justification to concentrate his efforts in other directions if Simoes doesnt put the requisite application in.
I don't think requisite application exists. I think a coach either likes a player or he doesn't. Gerard Houllier kept picking Heskey over Fowler at Liverpool even though Heskey couldn't hit a Camel's arse with Banjo.
Unfortunately when you put in a ***** performance whilst the team is doing well and sulk when you're hauled off it makes it harder to get back into the team. You only have to look at Bahre last season away at Derby. Daft thing with Bahre he put in some fantastic displays just before lockdown never to be seen again.
if we do, its the players fault. If the lad aint prepared to work hard there's only one way he's going...............
I think some more time with Disco wont do him any harm.Val doesn't strike me as vindictive so hopefully he ll live and learn and come back into the team stronger and wiser.
