Tbf their bloke made a pretty powerful run, nobody wins every challenge, and the Helk challenge was pretty poor, just sliding across what he thought would be the path of the ball, should have attacked the ball rather than guessing.
I was hoping we had moved on from some of his mistakes but i do worry that he continues to pinch in and then be outworked as the opposition players get in behind him. We saw it v Birmingham and several others last season and we are still seeing it this season. We didn't defend well yesterday (not just Anderson but as a unit) in a couple of plays and it cost us. Hopefully Ismael will work on it.
It is a worry but he's grown massively in confidence since start of last season and in my humble opinion has improved his game. You can see the frustration with himself with any error, even the header he missed from the corner, which on another day wouldve gone in. He's going to be prone to error especially on the left of a back three. One thing that frustrates me this season (which is an improvement on last season still) is the amount of times he lumps it into the stand, sometimes needlessly. Maybe that's a communication issue with the defence/keeper though?
