    Hey up mate.
Could you please put these questions to the club.
    1. Why have they done away with the tradition of wearing the 1st choice Red kit. At all games where it’s possible. ?
2 Why has the White kit been mis-sold as the 2nd/away kit. ?
    3. Why has the yellow kit become the kit of choice. Is it a push to sell yellow. To make more income? . If so. Say so. Cos I can see no other reason
4 Who makes the decision of which kit to wear? . Obviously not a traditionalist. ?
    5. Can all those that feel they’ve been mis-sold the white kit. Go swap it for Yellow. ?

Did I miss the memo where the white shirt was anything other than the third kit?

Always thought the yellow was the away one.

No the white was launched as the away kit, yellow as third.

Am I the only person on this forum who couldn't care less whether we use the yellow kit away more frequently than the white and red? I could understand if Conway and co decided to label us the Barnsley owls and we started wearing blue and white stripes... But the issue never actually crossed my mind until it was brought up on here.

I believe the ref has the final say in kit colour choice now?

And if any part is clashing, it is just best to advise to wear an alternative strip.

Many clubs have white shorts, and an element of white on the home shirt, which is why we generally wear yellow away.

The concept of the “away” kit is almost certainly a Dirty Leeds invention from the 1970s, when they wore an all yellow number with blue trim as often as possible for away games, whether or not there was a colour clash.

There are many fans who believe we should wear the famous red shirt at all times and change only in the event of a colour clash.

Is it possible that it's because of social distancing, reduced staff etc that kit isn't getting washed as often?

I think the players are having to wash their own kit

It'll be that bloody Connor Chaplin. I bet he keeps forgetting his pe kit so they have to use the yellow one

Isn't there a silly rule that's come in this season that states that the away team must use an away kit where possible?

Completely out of my hands. And not really on my long to do list I’m afraid. :D

I don’t believe kit choices are solely at the choosing of the club. But don’t quote me on that.

    Q5 was a bit silly.

    Have a great day!

And yet we regularly see games with ref’s and goalkeepers wearing yellow

From what I remember reading, the reason that particular clash happens, is because the keepers kit isn't dictated prior to match day. So if they're wearing the same as the ref and they don't have an alternative, there's a clash. It's why on the odd occasion you see a keeper in the other teams keeper strip.
