We've been crying out for some physicality and gamesmanship for ages. Now we're finally showing some, other teams don't like it and I love it.

Aye, reight physical side. Chaplin and Woodrow up front. Scary.

I don't remember us ever having a physical side. Apart from Kenny Burns and Alan Little, I can't remember too many individual players either.

I agree. Our forward line are lightweight. Full/wing backs are no Stuart Pearces. Not one midfielder you could describe as combatative. And our CHs are solid and rarely pick up bookings, well I'd guess on a par with other teams.

If limited is averaging 2 points per game under Ishmael, I’ll take it.

Just imagine how limited we would be if he’d been in charge of the first 7 games that Struber had.

Ironic that a club who once scored at Oakwell from a throw in which went straight in are complaining about a foul throw. Karma (or maybe “Karma karma karma karma karma Valerian”). The ref did pull Chaplin up for a foul throw in the second half so he obviously didn’t think Kane’s was.

Mick McCarthy was fairly robust and Stumpy could handle himself in a battle.

I think it was Styles, but you're spot on, we seldom get the rub of the green with refereeing decisions. Also like I said in an earlier post, almost every throw-in by both sides on the near side (couldn't tell the ones on the East stand side) was a foul throw; the leading foot was on the line.

When the only argument they've got is about foul throws and the ball not being in the quadrant for a corner, it says it all really.

The leading foot can be on the line, it just mustn't be over the line and both feet should be on the ground.

Just had a look and you're right, the rule changed to this in 1936. I always assumed it would apply in the same way as the ball being out of play, ie entirely outside the line. You learn summat new every day....
