hi pelly keep in touch as you do. your contributions most welcome. one of my mates is a big hatters fan. good luck to you for the rest of he season.
I think we're in a false position. But in many ways it's not like the Barnsley we know and love. We usually play really good football on the deck. We usually do awful against the poorer teams in the table who bully us and better again the teams at the top. Now we are able to win from being behind, we've scored 89 penalties so far when we usually get one a year if we're lucky., We won at Hillsborough... It's bizarre like the rest of the year. The last time we were roundabouts here we had a fantastic team captained by Hourihane riding the promotion wave and I had faith we were good enough for the play-offs, but this year doesn't feel like that. But yet we seem so resilient, and the fact we never draw but win and then lose the odd one to the decent sides above and around us keeps us high in the table. We have a clear athletic method of playing and pressing ( with its limitations) and some really talented young players emerging. That and Big Val's stares of sorcery. Well done to Luton, good set of fans. Rated Matty Pearson and Berry when we let them go. Not a Moncur fan, but pleased you're doing well. Been funny how our trajectories have been so similar
Site Admin isn't one person by the way. We do talk to each other. I always try and avoid discussing any bans 'in public' as it isn't fair on the poster, but I also think it's unfair to think anything in this thread didn't warrant it. So on this occasion I don't think there's any 'unfortunately' about it.
Ignore the idiot, imo best we have played so far Bournemouth, brentford and Swansea worst wycombe, Wednesday and Birmingham like others have said we probley won't be near the play offs come end of season unless we invest in January but we seem to keep getting results so long may it continue. I didn't think reading were all that when we played them i thouht we were the better team for the majority of the game then went down to ten men dont think they will finish in the play offs. Id be happy with a top half finish and try build again next season.
I'm not going to mention it again after this, because this isn't the place, but I do think it's an unfortunately because it's clearly out of character for him. He also posted a couple of days ago about having a bad day or two and I personally think that should be taken into account. It's not like Nudger where it's a pattern over multiple years, this is a very new thing and he's clearly not being himself. I personally don't think banning in that situation and potentially leaving somebody without an outlet is a good idea, but I'm not an admin. Nor do I want to be.
It's the words. The words that are posted. Not the previous character of the poster. We're all posting words on here. If you post the wrong words, there's a price to pay.
It isn't the platform at all. But based on your above commentary, which we've taken in to account for multiple posters over the years, maybe in these scenarios a break from the outlet helps? It could go either way in terms of whether that helps or hinders a personal situation in the short term.
Sounds like you are sensibly keeping your feet on the ground, We have actually had no lucky points or decisions. What we do have is one outstanding player, Kiernan Dewsbury Hall on loan from Leicester. Won eight out of ten MOM, player of the month again in Nov and will be for Dec. Bloody hope Leicester don't want him back!
I noticed that when we signed him. Seemed barely able to string two sentences together, and half of those would be about God. It was even more noticeable as we signed Tom Bradshaw at the same time who speaks like a university graduate, and were captained by the equally articulate Conor Hourihane. George's ramblings sounded particularly incoherent in comparison.
Welcome back mate - we're both doing well aren't we.... Best 3 teams we've played - Bournemouth, Brentford & Swansea Worst 3 - Birmingham, Derby & Wednesday
Wycombe are the worst team I have ever seen at this level, and we've been in it for most of the years I have been watching. Ainsworth makes Pulis look like Guardiola. In my time, I have seen awful (either in terms of ability, or as far as being displeasing on the eye is concerned) Portsmouth, Burton, and Preston teams, but none can match Wycombe for horrific players married to hoof-it tactics. I said on the night we beat them that there are obviously reasons for it: they Covided their way into this division, and don't have a pot to píss in, so needs must. Despite the fact that they play Ebola football, we only just scraped past them, so they must be doing something right. QPR were terrible, too. They were down to 10 men for a long time, but they didn't have the fight I would expect from a team who are a player down. We could have easily won 7-0. Bournemouth are the best I have seen. The 4-0 scoreline wasn't really a fair reflection of the game, but it did kind of have that feeling of a Premier League team turning up in a cup match, and us hoping we can stay in the game, and nick something from a set piece, a mistake, or a bit of magic.
Brentford and Bournemouth although we gifted Bournemouth a few and had our own chances that we didn`t take, whereas Brentford ,their keeper had nowt to do. Forest in cup where crap but where a bit better in the League game, Brum poor, QPR also but has Baka said where down to 10 men and Watford didn`t impress me either loads of possession but did nowt with it created very little.
