    My guess is he’s on 10k and already our highest paid player. Also that he wants a wage rise for staying; but that would breach our limit.

    But that’s 4 guesses.

    I hear that Woodrow is our highest earner and Mowatt wants parity with him. No brainer to comply to me. The additional cost can always be recouped by selling him if required, otherwise he'll just leave in the summer for nothing or this month for next to nothing.

    got to be a difficult decision to make, some of young lads be getting in the 100s a week I reckon, I would put a win bonus in structured that the lesser payed players get more if we win

    For me Mowatt has played nearly every match. Dunno if he's just lucky with injuries or super fit but that alone must add value to a contract with us. Really hope Cauley is talking him into staying !!

    If you were the hierarchy of the club wanting to keep hold of your captain and best player would you allow him to have a masterclass against top of the league away at the beginning of the transfer window whilst trying to tie down a new deal?

    If he's got any sense, he will sign an extension for a minimum of an additional year and the club will offer him incentives as to where we finish in the league. There is not much money sloshing around at the moment, so I think that his options will be limited. Which clubs which are higher in the league than us would be willing to pay for him? Not many would want to commit sparse cash at the moment. Problem with a one-year extension is that we would be in the same situation this time next year. Hey-ho!
