I think he's got a point. While I thought it was good coverage, I'm not sure I would have thought the same if I was a Tranmere fan. It was very much Barnsley this and Barnsley that and now some Barnsley footage at half time. It makes a change for us to be in that position, but I'd prefer fairness all round and us to get equal billing whether we're playing Tranmere or Liverpool.
I know I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer but are you telling me that wasn't the Barnsley commentary that I listened to? I know it wasn't Matt but I thought that because I was a Barnsley fan I was listening to the Barnsley commentary and the Tranmere fans would get the Tranmere commentary but reading this I get the feeling that the commentary was supposed to be neutral?
I don't think the FAPlayer system knows you're a Barnsley fan does it? It did give me the option of selecting my two favourite clubs but there were only women's sides to choose from, presumably because that's what the system normally shows. I think the Tranmere fan does have a point. I had to smile when the commentator said that the Barnsley fans were loving Ismael's brand of football. He hasn't read Red Rain's posts then.
kevin keatings (@_keatings) Tweeted: Covered @barnsleyfc today in the Cup and what a very good watch they are. Young players who struggled for most of last season now proving they can live at their current level. Some smart recruitment since, not least the enterprising head coach Valerien Ismael. Keep an on them.
Interesting to read he's a Sunderland fan. He was very complimentary of us, and I can see why the Tranmere fans were irked.
I think the latest restrictions don't allow "away" commentators to be present (though that may be a BBC thing?).
