That shower stick to their guns, I don't think so they have already named their price for mowett they don't want a football team just profit
I haven't seen the club name a price for anyone. Just rumour and conjecture based on very little. And considering the club don't want a football team, that team is 9th in the second tier. Another 20 days of this, ffs. FWIW, we might well sell footballers this month. There are only two windows in which to do so. And the club doesn't run on magic beans. But at least wait for some hard substance before getting yourselves into a tizz. 20 days to go. Don't go prematurely.
Can't remember all the places on that stretch of Thames, but I can recall the British Rowing Association was on there, William Morris' studio was there and Bob Geldof and Midge Ure wrote the Band Aid track in one of the houses.
He’ll be here by the summer I reckon. He’ll have better options in the summer, he’s young and has plenty of time on his hands.
What I read into that is that we are selling Styles and Mowatt for normal beans, because the magic ones are no use.
This with valuable silver bells on!!! Could not agree more!!! Imagine where we'd be if the club actually did want a football team. However given the history of how this forum loves a good rumour, combined with yet another opportunity to have a go at how the club is run this thread does have an inevitability about it. If CS stays cue the "we didnt sell cos no one was interested in him" comments a la when we didnt sell Alex and Cauley in the previous window. Having said that I reckon we're probably just as bad on here as fans are on most other football sites up and down the UK. Funny game football.
I think if Styles continues to develop at the rate he is we could sell him straight to a Premiership club in a year or two's time.
1; the club have made a statement to say that they’re in the black, no need to panic financially 2; this team are clearly gelling - I find it odd to say someone would ‘want’ to leave. 3; given he’s likely happy here, he’s probably well aware that if he carries on playing here, he’ll be looking at a much bigger payday if he bides his time. 5; no need to concern ourselves with what Brentford might pay, he’s going nowhere yet.
It's January. The window's open. I fully understand all the drama and discussion. It's great for journos because it's the one month where their click bait articles get loads of hits, which in turn helps with all the ad revenue that make their online articles so horrific to look at. I don't blame them in the slightest. We all have to eat.
lets hope we dont hear these phrases after the event again: the manager didn't know how good they are what if we say no and nobody comes back again with another offer both real comments from our great leaders at the time when they let Stones go for a pittance + sell on. Or some of these: we thought we had enough points n the board we thought the players we had were good enough I guess they have pulled a couple of rabbits out the hat with the managers (lets forget about Morais) so we will have to trust em. We cant control what they do just voice our opinion which is what folk are doing here.
And add to that that I think we now have a manager who will get his way and is capable of building this team and getting us even farther up the league.
