Only saving grace is they're in a five team mini league. They should go down but nine points isn't impossible given whose down there with them.
The United goal was copied from someone on a United board And I have Sheffield Utd friends but no closet blade
I’d like to see them pull off a miracle. I know they’re dee dahs but I like Wilder & McBurnie & they’ve done it on a shoe string in terms of wages. I’ve kept saying they’ve still got a chance just because of how bad the other teams around them are. I wouldn’t be surprised if 30 points keeps someone up this season. Still more than half the season to go & they should be far stronger in the second half unless they’re really unlucky with injuries again.
To me, Sharp's tackle on Scar was a straight red card. He simply stamped on the Newcastle defender's ankle as he went away from Sharp with the ball. That aside, on what I've seen United have not been playing like a team with so few points. Usually teams that fare as badly as that look a bit hopeless but the Blunts have been competitive in most of the games I've seen. I wouldn't rule out them still beating the drop if this and the Cup win gets them back on something of a roll. That said, four of their next five fixtures involve Spurs, Man City, Man United and Chelsea!
I think that their performances all season have been a lot better than their results , they have a mountain to climb but they are capable of the great escape . Last season they were superb & if confidence returns they are capable of going on a decent run , one thing is that they are certainly a better team than West Brom & Fulham , so who knows. One other thing , Utd doing well really gets to the Owls fans big time & thats fine by me , I cannot stand Wednesday but do not mind Utd , hope they do it.
