Anybody think their favourite player is different to their best player? My favourite player is now Chaplin (don't ask- I know - I've slagged him off many a many a... etc time but he's cheeky and has the vision if not usually the talent). I might not even pick him. My best player is Mowatt.
If we're talking out of the current squad, then my favourite player has to be Styles. Since June, he's come on leaps and bounds and just look at the goals he's scored - Brentford away, Birmingham away, Wycombe home and Forest home. Such skill and technique. I love the Bury Baggio What potential this kid has, and if he keeps going the sky's the limit.
Favourite - Victor. He's come back this season like a completely different player. I could watch him play all day. Best - Styles. Nowhere near his full potential yet, but if he continues to apply himself, he's going to be exceptional.
Favourite player is Britain for me and best is Styles. Both of those will generate the club a vast amount of money in the future and will go on to bigger and better things
Best player toss up between cauley and sol (the difference this lad has made to us is immense), favourite has to be andersen, you can see he loves it here
Sorry. I was ending it there because he's obviously nowhere near to being our best player. Styles for potential and what we've nurtured. Mowatt on overall ability and what he brings/has brought.
Not sure with this current team. But I know in our promotion to the prem Redders was probably our best player but Adie Moses was my favourite.
Styles is our best player. No question. If I were him I'd be chomping at bit hoping Mowatt leaves to take up the mantle. Schmidt is a favourite of mine because I see real talent there. He needs to play in a winning team alongside players that will create chances and make him space. I actually would like to see him Morris and Woodrow together before he's permanently consigned to room 101. My favourite is Mowatt but we have to plan without him now. Hope we sign cover of Christie Davies has sumat in his locker ready to be unleashed upon the Championship. We're in a better position than 2012 or 2017 though because Kane, Styles, Palmer are better than Dawson, Perkins and Tonge and more importantly we have Sollbauer, Halme, Andersen and Helik. They will compensate for defensive deficienicies in midfield.
My favourite player is Mads because he plays with a beaming smile on his face. My best player is Connor because he is Mr 100% and his gives us all.
Favourite, Styles. Best. Styles, alongside Probably controversial, (Scott) but I believe has brought most points. Walton. Both gems.
From what I've seen, and it's only really since late November /early December that I've watched our games, I'd probably say my favourite player is Brittain, our best player probably Styles/Mowatt technically and Sollbauer as a leader. It's a strange one, a personal thing. I think back and for me the only player who easily met both categories was Glavin. I always looked on Steve Cooper as a hero, my favourite player at the time, even though Currie and Futcher were "better footballers". Our promotion side was full of excellent footballers, though my genuine favourite in that side was Neil Thompson and also Steve Davis. And more recently, I had a lot of time for George Williams. What I think this thread shows is that we've started to see a team we can relate to as a fan base, a mix of quality and heart and honesty. Those qualities in the same team have often seen us in good stead.
