I drove for Tesco for 4 years and I got tipped quite a lot. Usually by people who barely had a penny to scratch their arse with. Yet the big 12 bedroom houses at cawthorne wouldn’t even say thankyou to you.
Tip them I have been trying on and off since this pandemic started to get a delivery, not a prayer of getting one.
My Dad always said, "they don't get rich geein' it away". He also said, "you'll never meet a poor farmer."
Same here every time I’ve tried to book a slot there aren’t any availlable. No idea how to get one. Maybe you need to know when the slots are released and be sitting hitting refresh on the website at 00:01 hours or something
I don’t, purely because I don’t carry cash. If the app allows me to tip digitally I do so every time.
I haven't tipped supermarket delivery drivers (literally its a different one every week), but one of the couriers we regularly get, I have. Got him an Easter egg earlier in the year, £20 at Christmas and a card just saying thankyou. He always stays well back, courteous, always smiling, we exchange a few words asking if we're both alright. Feels worth recognising his efforts and character at a time when he's working just about all day and is one of the few human connections to the world at the moment.
