Just got a Christmas card here in Kerry from my mate in Cheshire. Posted well before Christmas. Not been franked so no date stamp on it. Sneaky.
My lad just received his Christmas card from oakwell today Must have one big backlog at the sorting office
Posted 3 parcels at the same time in November to my sister in Calgary. One arrived after a couple of weeks. The other two arrived on 11 Jan.
I bought a cordless vacuum just before Christmas. Very lightweight and very good. Wondered why we didn't do it years ago, fully recommend
very easy to make comments like this when you don’t do the job yourself. Try working 6 days a week (7 days a week from October to January), a minimum of 12 hours a day, 450 stops per day at least. give us clear instruction on what to do with it if you’re not going to be in and you won’t have an issue. Leave no instructions and I’m afraid you’re your own worst enemy. Other than the NHS, no one has worked harder than the postal/courier services during covid, no one.
Mine’s not chordless, but stem comes off, so easy for stairs etc.. only £40. Most exciting thing to happen since I got my current old dog, last April..
I applied for a job as a postie years ago but when the interviewer said 'on yer bike' I thought I'd failed and walked out Ended up rejecting the job offer and working in a job club in Barnsley and met my future missis who was working as a receptionist there so must have been fate
It's been horrendous walking round in this snow and ice (but it's our job) but it doesn't make it any easier lol.
Always leave clear instructions when given the chance. Despite this I've had many a item abandoned on the front door step over the years. Things shoved in bins with no card through to know it's been left. I'm sure this isn't everyone, and I know these delivery drivers are under huge pressure and often don't get paid for return journeys. I'm not suggesting they don't work hard, I'm sure they do. Regardless bad service is bad service and it happens. Factories and warehouses up and down the country are full of people who have been working hard without even being able to apply social distancing.
That's trouble Helen it makes me eat MORE lol. Yer crave carbs when yer finish or in my case chocolate, Iam a chocolic lol.
