I know we all have a laugh on here and take the mick out of other fans but stuff like this just shows how some things have to take priority. Glad it has boosted his wellbeing.
Nice one. I'll personally never forget what this community did for me a year or two since. There's so much more to football and a football family than a small rubber ball, a bit of grass and bragging rights. It really is a community centre and can help people out in their darkest hour. I've seen it with others on this board recently too. Football can bring out the best in people.
Bravo. The British public get lots of bad press. I’ve always believed the vast majority. Including the younger generations are kind at heart. Let’s hear more good news stories to counteract the bad. I’ve never had my faith restored, because it’s never left me.
Really hope he gets through this battle with his demons. Reading through his twitter feed seems he likes the waccy baccy and a good drink but they don't seem to be helping in fact probably the opposite. Not a criticism at all as if you've never been in a dark place like Sid has/is then you'll never know how it feels. Not been anywhere near but years ago was on the same slope to a certain extent and managed to turn my life around . Good wishes to Sid
I particularly liked the part where Bullen took the time to meet him. Face to face is so important, even more so during this pandemic.
