Yes it is. He was part of THE great Leeds side. I didn’t realise he had scored that many goals though
Sad news indeed. Hottest shot in football in the 70s I believe. Hope he recovers OK, that's no age to be ill.
Oh thats sad news, one of my heros as a kid, unbelievable shooting skills and part of a superb Leeds side who really didn't win as many trophy's as they should, a superb side in the late 60-early 70's.....hope he can recover.....
A shot nearly as powerful as mine. One of the nicer fellas from that notorious Leeds side. Be well, Peter..
We all “hate Leeds” for one reason or another but that was one of those teams, like the great Ipswich Town team of Muhren, Mills, Mariner etc, that most fans of other clubs could recite the names of from 1-11. I’ll have a go: Sprake, Reaney, Cooper, Bremner, Charlton, Hunter, Lorimer, Clarke, Jones, Giles, Gray. I’m not going to check if that is 100% accurate but that was some team!!
Really sad news, had a helluva shot on him , but was much more , still thought of him as he was in the 70’s but sadly life’s not like that.
I have to admit to them being my team when i was little and then I saw sense. These are the ones I remember: Harvey Reaney Madeley Bremner Lorimer Clarke E Gray F Gray McQueen Giles Hunter Charlton. Sniffer was my fave!
Good call. That is the classic team. I'd probably say Harvey in for Sprake and don't forget Bates on the Bench. Sad news about Lorimer. From a time when Scotland were mass producing quality players.
Terrific player with a howitzer of a right foot, quite remarkable when you think he had a bad break of his right leg. Though not a Leeds fan I got tickets for their Wembley finals against Sunderland and Arsenal. Sad news indeed.
