Looking at 44” ish, any good ones knocking about? What features should I look for as a minimum? Hate buying TVs but ours has just conked out so need to get one tomorrow.

House full of Samsung, I'm happy enough.

Whatever the make/model, it'll be obsolete next year!!

Our current one is Samsung and it’s been crap from the start. Suppose everyone has bad experiences with certain brands like but wouldn’t go back to them.

I bought mine in 2013, its a Toshiba. I got it off Gumtree from an overseas student who was returning to Gibraltar and couldn't take it home with him. He'd had it 2 years, and had paid £900 for it. He sold it to me for £250. I've still got it now, and it's as good as it was the day I bought it. I bought it because I'd had a Toshiba laptop for a few years, and it remains to this day, the best laptop I've ever had.

What I'm trying to say is, I'd recommend Toshiba as a brand.

I’ve got 3 Samsung’s. My 55 inch Curve is absolutely stunning. Picture and sound is amazing.

Granted it was £1200 but it’s brilliant.

I’ve also got a 43 inch Samsung on the wall in the bedroom and again it’s great and that was about £350.

    There are no 44" TVs.

43" is closest and the only decent ones are Samsung; Q60T, TU8000, TU8500 and the new Q60A and AU9000 are probably the ones to look at.

There are dearer and cheaper ones too like the TU7100 and "The Frame".

Or you could wait for the 42" LG OLED TVs to come out, they come out this year.
