Everything on my phone, my home PC and work PC is set to a dark theme. Kind on the eyes black and dark grey backgrounds. The only thing I regularly view that isn't is this BBS, which has a full screen of retina burning white. No biggie if you can't, just thought I'd ask.
If you access the BBS through the Tapatalk app you can set it to dark mode all the time, with the extra bonus of preserving battery life.
I've just dowloaded tapatalk. How did it know to recommend this site as third recommendation? Creepy.
I hope it's going to be optional if white words on dark. Whenever I've been reading white words on a dark background in the past, it seems to 'burn' in to my eyeballs and can see the 'lines' for ages after. May be an age thing, or my eyes are kn*cked
Did this ever get done? Had a nose around and couldn't see it - but I could well just be looking in the wrong place?
Thanks Andy. Don't make it a hassle for yourself though. When you've got some spare time and you feel like having a mess about. No rush at all.
There are extensions you can add to Firefox and Chrome that force dark mode by inverting. You can add websites to it that you want to use it on so it's not a blanket change. The one I use for Firefox is called Dark Reader. Not sure if you can add extensions on mobile though. This is what it looks like in darkmode
@Gally Nearly done this just need you to upload file from link i sent you, then i can test it on forum
