    He has played one season at championship level some 4 years ago. He is 26.

    Cant see it unless he brings Derek Riordon with him.

    I dont see this happening though he is too old for us and also the story has been broken by The72 which is about as reliable as the Daily Mails political reporting

    We don’t know where we will be next season, and the club are probably preparing for two outcomes.

    1. We get to the prem and keep our best players & add some more.

    2. We are in the championship again and lose key players. This is where Payne comes in.

    That’s my theory anyway

    Think huddersfield signed him on a free from Southend when he was out of contract. He didn't play many games for huddersfield in the championship.

    Had more clubs than tiger Woods and still only 26

    My point is that he is largely a number 10 and that does not fit into our current system; a system that will not change under the current manager.

    He is not strong enough for the midfield 2. He is not defensively good enough for the wing back positions. He may be able to play one of the wide front players but I think we will be looking for more physicality and pace in that position.

    I think he is a good player but I genuinely cannot see us going for him. But I am not in charge so you never know.

    I remember Barnsley playing Southend he was the best player on the pitch few years ago though.

    Supposedly it's to convince Mowatt to stay as they're best mates. Don't believe that would be the difference in Mowatt staying personally but that's what I've heard.
