1st half of the first game and already a talking point due to VAR.

Newcastle robbed of a penalty because VAR didn't give it. Even with no intent being booted in the head with a very high foot anywhere else on the field would have been given as a foul.

I can’t fathom how the VAR doesn’t give a penalty for that. It’s as blatant as you’ll ever see. You just can’t raise your foot that high anywhere on the pitch, there’s no excuse whatsoever.

VAR works fine. It's the tossers making the ridiculous decisions that are letting it all down.

Have they changed the rules of Football overnight? Clear penalty all day long, doesn't even need to go to VAR... So when it does get reviewed that's the onfield referee and the VAR team doesn't see a foul.... world's gone mad

If Saint Maximin could stay fit then he'd be a proper player.

In a totally uninteresting match fact both dugouts have a former Barnsley player on their coaching staff. Ian Woan for Burnley and Steve Agnew for Newcastle.

Bit of a difference in the careers they had with us.

Stuart Attwell running VAR so another Ref gets it wrong. Can't see how anyone can blame VAR for human error and one with a reparation of F**k ups.

Big time. But if he could play 40 games a season he wouldn't be at Newcastle.

I do feel for Steve Bruce slightly. Any player with half an ounce of talent has sat out big parts of the season and his budget doesn't allow him any flexibility in their squad. They're a different outfit when 3/4 of their best players are on the pitch.

I don’t it’s Steve Bruce. Were it someone else I’d probably agree

Don't have an issue with him personally. Phenomenal defender and doesn't have the worst record as a manager. Gets a lot of unjust stick in my opinion and he's looked completely broken at times this season undeservedly.

I'm certain I once read a post from Terry Nutkins where his Dad decked Steve Bruce for calling us cheats.

Leicester could have done with the three of them who apparently went to a party last night. Even if covid laws were not a thing, you don't do that the night before a big game. West Ham are far more professional in the fight for a Champions League spot.

Maddison seems to be making a habit of this sort of thing.

Speaking about Super Sunday - when will anybody take a stand about gross overreaction from Nancy players cheating the game the fans and each other.
I’m no Man U fan but Spurs are a set of cheating prima donnas.

    Exactly this.

The fact VAR didn't give it made it even worse.
