    I've been looking at ways to improve the YouTube channel and I've took this from a 1982 compilation of three games and gave its own slot.
    First meeting in 33 years a good old Yorkshire Derby.
    Includes a news report of the Leeds fans arriving in Barnsley.

    Things you miss about football after watching that....

    Back passes to the goalie...watching now and forgetting it was allowed and going "NO !!!!!!"

    Players that didn't crumble under the slightest physical contact.

    Full blooded tackles.

    The random use of an air horn :)

    I've got quite a few, dating back to the FA Cup run of 1988-89. However, whether they still play is another matter. I'll try and dig them out next time I'm at my parents' place. Hopefully it'll be this year!

    What a great game that was! As shenk1 says; it had absolutely everything and it gave us the bragging rights over our patronising Leeds mates too.

    Altogether now: "We've got Winnie, Winnie, Winnie, Winnie Campbell on the wing".....

    It would be great to have a look at them. They should be ok if they have been stored in attic or a cupboard or summat. I'd be happy to put them on dvd for you in return for the loan of the tapes.

    They should have been stored in a cupboard, providing my mum hasn't thrown them out. I'll check with her and get back to you, as that's a really kind offer. Cooper, Currie, Lyons Cakes. Loved that season.

    Ah, remember like it was yesterday. Wish I could pause and zoom in on the section of the old Brewery stand me where and my dear old dad used to stand. Also remember, the split loyalties of the ‘local’ Leeds fans, who abandoned Leeds came to us and didn’t know the fek what to do when we played them

    This match was played six months before my wife & I started dating!:D
    Barnsley beating Leeds United in a league match a mere seven years after their all-time greatest ever team lost to Bayern Munich in the European Cup Final just blew my mind at that time.
