It must have been the three goals he scored all this season that did it.

I’ll stick my neck out and say that I actually think he’ll do well at Watford .
The way Watford play will suit him imo in a Troy Deeney type role .

His agent deserves a big pay rise.

Surreal. I genuinely thought he'd end up taking a serious pay cut with a lower Champ team. Football never ceases to surprise me. 26 goals in 5 seasons, and lands a 5 year PL contract. Mad. Fair play to the lad though. He must have a cracking agent.

He was offered a contract at Boro but rejected it.

He'll ev been tapped up but he thinks its cos hes a premier league striker, its for when they come back down to championship. Remember warnock wa happy when he came back frm injury.surly he's on less than 18,000 aweek mind you there a london club more expensive down there.

Their new gaffer binned Deeney off though, which propelled them into the automatics.

He was playing and scoring regularly until his injury in February.

They obviously see him fitting in their style of play. Hence the 5yr contract. (assuming that’s right)
How many Players have our fans said.
    Who, (Dike)
Discarded by their parent club. Must be crap.(Brittan)
    Too young. (Styles)

Lots of fans being too quick to judge. Fletch is still young (25) and not a gamble. Free transfer. Still saleable.

I look at our scouting system and it’s the ultimate in using statistics.
The new challenge brings a lot of players on. So to speak.

He was a far better player than Ivan Toney when they were both with us.

I have read on here previously some of the comments about Fletcher with disbelief , you would think fans would think twice about writing players off after the treatment Toney got on here before he signed for Peterboro & has eventually developed into the hot property he is now, but once again a player has got written off in my opinion way too early . I would love to have seen him return here , there has always been top potential within him & our head coach is more than capable of bringing the best out of him , I now feel that Watford will go on to resurrect his career & we have missed out , he showed enough in his time with us to suggest that he can become top quality , I hope he does well .

I think he’ll get loaned out but there’s obviously some talent there that you’d hope would eventually show in the first team.

Man Utd kept him a long time, he was outstanding for us, West Ham signed him, Boro paid £7m & now premier league Watford are keen. All their scouts can’t be clueless. He must have something.

He was at the time - for some reason he isnt now. If we had a choice of which one to sign for next season I doubt many would pick Fletcher over Toney. Fletcher looked good enough for the Prem when we had him but for some reason he has so far not fulfilled his potential.maybe Watford can get the best out of him like we did
