I have always liked Wind in the Willows and could imagine myself as the hermit-like badger shuffling around in his carpet slippers, snoozing in a big armchair in front of a roaring fire, all my provisions stocked away in time for winter. The occasional visitor with whom to share cozy fireside chats and homebrew. Then off to bed to sleep in clean white sheets. And coincidentally we live in a house called Badgercote ! Not our naming but the previous owners. So I am Mr Badger from Badgercote.
Long standing playground nickname, unoriginal. I spent a brief period as Birkdale Red after forgetting my password following a 6 month hiatus (flounce)
My original name.(Jack Tatty) was my school nickname. In French lessons at Wombwell High School we all.got given French Christian names. I got given Jacques. The tatty bit got added on a year or two later. Jacket Tatie/Jacques Tati. 30 plus years on and hardly any of my school mates i still see refer to me by my real Christian name. I then got bored of it on here and changed it to the name if the Jazz Club host on the Fast Show. Nice
Nez, nickname I've had since about being 3 or 4 year old. Now people refer to me with that more than my real name (Neil) and always have. Why I put BFC onto the end I've no idea.
At Uni we had to come up with a name for our fictional PR agency and I called mine Spooky PR. Which was a play on the fact that some friends at the time called me Spooky Mooky, which had come from them all calling me ‘Mook’. Now, the origins of Mook, I have no idea, but not many people call me that anymore so glad I plumped with Spooky.
