Felt I should have a vaguely football related moniker to post on here in the bad old (TT) days. Easy to spell, quick to type, what more do you want? Don't really like scarves though.
It's a song by Machine Head I like the fact it's an oxymoron. My initials are D S I use it or a version of it for user/screen names for most things and have done since 2002.
I watched John Peachey as a player. Stylish & demure until he got near the ball. (He did improve a lot under Clarke, but before that he was hugely frustrating). In the 90's the word "peachy" was often used amongst my mates. Clubbing & partying days. Was just a little play on words to put the two together. Mid 70's was my starting watching the club, Mick Butler being the main striker then. 90's was our high point up to now with Danny.
My nickname, although nobody really calls me it anymore. My brother has the same nickname, and so I get my Christian name in order to differentiate. Would love to change it, but I don't know what I'd change it to. Suggestions on a postcard please.
My nickname is bobby, even the wife calls me it. When my daughter was very young she could only say PLOBBY so that's it.
Named after one of the most commonly fractured bones in elite sport that I seem to scan on a daily basis.
If you know your Father Ted you’ll know that I was in a band that had a huge hit, can’t remember the band’s name but the record was called “Vienna”.
To be fair, the instant Bovril served at football grounds is nothing like the drink made out of a jar of Bovril. To replicate football ground Bovril mix one tablespoon of salt with an equal amount of graveyard soil and mix with superheated water.
I'm not from Barnsley, but New Lodge is my tenuous connection. I thought it was a nice estate, and thought the WMC was a classy joint Spent many a Saturday in there either side of the strike, supping subsidised ale, both legal age and under.
My name has French connections so I used to be Robespierre on the old board. When this one came along to replace it I had problems registering again so just thought of another French name from the history books.
