https://www.owlstalk.co.uk/forums/topic/301398-oakwell-or-the-chuckledome/ Prefer the talk of other clubs sharing with us than us sharing with them! However, would any insurance company touch us with a bargepole if we ground shared with them!!??
They've got very short memories by the sounds of it. Best one yet: Do Wednesday have any rich fans who could buy Hillsborough and rent back to SWFC for a reasonable amount? I can't think of any with that kind of cash ready at hand personally.
They couldn't pay our owners enough for me to be happy with them ground sharing with us. Not even if they cover the cost to sterilise my seat before I turn up to our games after one of them have sat on it.
I get it now... this has been on the cards for a while, and the reason for the recent planning application that's gone in to build our new 100,000 capacity West stand.
Who would get the income if we were to have a guest team? The 80%ers, the 20%ers or the body that seems to control the ground but doesn't have a %age ?
I suppose it would depend on the agreement that's currently in place on the ground. If the agreement is that the club has full rights to the ground and can also sublet it, it would go to the club (so the 80%ers and the 20%ers), if the agreement is just allowing the club to play on it and the company that owns the ground has the ability to let it out to multiple clients, it would go to 50% to the 20%ers and 50% to the council.
