"The plan" never went to forest isn't it James cryne who works on recruitment with the spreadsheet. But I think it was doug o kane who said something along the lines of there no longer working together and conway has made signings not from "the plan" in recent window.
With so many injuries which we did not have in previous seasons I think we need to look at why? What has changed in the conditioning and physical preparation of the players? Why do some clubs have few major injuries and others half the team?
I am curious , what were the number of things that he was promised but did not materialise ? I have read numerous comments on various media outlets on a similar line however nobody as actually said what they are .
Remember Schopp in one of his first interviews stating that he wouldn`t play an unfit player and would not play out of form players. Iseka is still not fully fit and has played a few games and started, Palmer as always been just over an hour player before he fades. He fails his own criteria when picking the team.
If he left out anyone not fully fit, and anyone out of form, how many would he have left to choose from??!!
Haven't a clue to be honest mate - I was just making a point that the injuries aren't the fault of a single individual and he was the first person I thought of
I think it is. Idiotic is probably a little strong admittedly, but their are nutritionists, sports science coaches, fitness coaches etc that micro manage every aspect of that. Or there should be. Maybe Schopp just puts the cones out - who knows!
I don't think he was necessarily promised anything, but the available squad that he inherited had a fit Anderson and Morris, and the new signings he was given Iseka, Oulare, Cole, Benson and Kitching have all missed more games than they have been available for. Yes he's not doing the absolute best with what he has available, but he's been severely hamstrung imo.
On the left hand side? It's a toss up for me. Neither are good enough to be championship wing backs. I'd rather Styles played there, but then again he's injured. I don't think whoever is picked as 3rd choice LWB is our deal breaker tbf. Oh and we signed Vita. Who sorted that? Is he fit? Is he any good? From the spreadsheet? Who knows.
Coles been avalible ever since he came on v bolton he had covid before that game. He just hasn't featured and had a few run outs for 23s and been over looked for players like odour Kitching got suspended for a stupid headbutt and it was deserved only himself to blame now he's missed the reading loss with injury Bensons another strange one missed a game rumours of a fall out with schopp comes out he's tested positive for covid then comes back named in the 11 and pulls up in warm up and hasnt featured since. No one knows how good olare, iseka has hardly hit the ground running only anderson and Morris are big losses for me and I cant see either making that much difference in terms of scoring goals with how we seem to play.
That's what I mean though - our new signings have barely played, meaning that we've been left with last seasons side minus Dike, Mowatt, Mads and Morris - four of our six best players. Either way, we need to improve whoever gets the most part of the blame.
