Stop giving that freeloader Dickie Bird hospitality, he wouldn't pay for it! He is only there because you are giving him it for free, he's a fuc*ing embarrassment and not a true representation of someone from Barnsley!

I find the whole Dickie Bird thing quite funny. My grandad played cricket with him back in the day, before he went umping. He said even then he was the tightest man he'd ever met. Bless him

I know who's embarrassing Barnsley and it's not Dickie Bird. He is a charming man, which is more than can be said for you, from what I can see. Dickie Bird, lifelong fan and paying season ticket holder for many, many years, even into old age. I for one do not have a problem with him having a complimentary ticket for yesterday (if that's what he did). I'm sure he wasn't the only Barnsley fan who had a free ticket yesterday.

Deary me. What's the matter with you?

He gets us loads of publicity, loved locally and nationally but anything to have a go eh? Remember the ovation Leeds fans gave him last season?

How many of those who went yesterday have been to an away game this year? How many of those who went yesterday last went away against Liverpool ? Probably quite a lot - guy goes most home games - give it a rest! At least he does go unlike some of our other celeb fans

I actually sat and chatted with him for a good 45 mins in the cafe at asda and all he talked about was Barnsley, he came across as a passionate supporter.
