BFC Fans @BarnsleyFC_10 3h3 hours ago On the 25th minute of Sats match we are doing a minutes applause for Barnsley lad who died fighting against ISIS.
A brave hero and deserving of an applause. No good can come from going over there though. No matter if people are off there to fight for or against ISIS, the government needs to do more to stop anyone under any circumstances from travelling there.
follow it up with a round of "we're proud of you, we're proud of you" would also be good if other clubs got involved (esp. Wallsall). not that it matters, but does anyone know if he actually was a reds fan or not?
Isis are marauding through the middle east carrying out some of the most despicable acts,I for one cant fault anyone who feels it is their duty to go and fight against them.No real good ever comes of war,but to leave those basterds beheading, raping, hanging and burning people just because they dont follow their ideals is a crime in itself.**** knows where it will ever end,we've already had them on our doorstep and i fear theres more to come.
People choose to fight for our freedom , to fight so others dont have to. this lad is a local lad who has gave his life so others didn't have to. applauding him is not militarising the sport it's something else... It's called respect . if our great grandfathers, grandfathers and fathers hadn't done exactly the same thing in 1939 _1944 then we might not have the freedom today to enjoy sporting events and watch teams like Barnsley. I for one am thankful to the lad and all those brave enough like him and will applaud him with all I've got
Take it you dont observe a minutes silence either for our armed forces at games over the years. It isnt militarization its paying our respects to one of our own from barnsley who chose to go and help fight against isis. Deserves a stand up and applause
I don't caire if he isn't a BFC fan or not, I will clap regardless. He risked his life to try and stop ISIS. And that's not something many people would leave there friends and family to do. RIP.
I for 1 will applaud this brave man, to go and fight Isis in there back yard is what some may call crazy but a very brave thing to do. He wanted to do his bit and fight for what he thought was the right thing. RIP
It is a shame though this compassion towards the victims of IS doesn't extend to asylum. What is it, 90 refugees accepted by Britain?
seems like a weird thing to object to. is 60 seconds applause too much to ask? then you can get on with your pie..
